The Apple imessage Vs. Blackberry Messenger, which do you prefer? The greatest surprise that has come with the iOs5 announcement was the imessage. Not many users predicted this messaging service coming with the gadget, as well as the service that came with the blackberry messenger. The blackberry messenger was the first phone to have the RIM which allows users to chat openly with users. The BBM has been rock solid in previous years and it is quite flexible, more so than the Apple imessage. This phone has the ability to create groups for chatting, which the Apple phone doesn’t. With the organizing of groups you can choose who you want to invite to your discussion or who you want to pre-select. This is a handy tool being that you can set your family away from work, and friends away from family. It’s easier to send pictures and videos when all of your friends are separated into groups.
Apple is a well informed rival, and their phone competes with the blackberry messenger because of the format of the BBM. It formats itself in a way that Apple most often does, easily and with leisure. Although Apple has not created a separate messenger application, it has incorporated all of the formatting and usability into the message application itself. You wouldn’t have to attend to a different application to have these settings, you can just begin to type a message you have the entire pleasurable chatting format available to you. It’s difficult to see who wins in the apple Imessage vs. blackberry messenger, being that it’s more so based off of personal preference. The imessage phone is more pleasant visually just because messaging is a bit easier on a screen that is larger to view. Imessage also gives you the option of carrying on the conversation on other devices; it can be carried onto an ipad if it is more convenient.
Both phones are similar in obvious ways; BBM is great for entrepreneurs who need a tool that is more productive in its effectiveness. General users may prefer the apple phone just because it is based more off of entertainment rather than as a business tool. Just because both of the phones are similar and quite satisfying, there are also limitations. The usage on both devices is limited to a single platform. If one of the phones want to reign in performance over the other then they should consider adding on another platform.
Apple is very finicky and reluctant to adopt risky procedures onto their devices, but both of the messaging services are useful for the current platform that both phones have. If there were to be a third part phone that would offer all of the same features and more of a cross platform element then they might conquer both of the phones and their users as well. How important is BBM to you? AAPL was a threat to RIMM because of the photos and videos that could be sent to all Apple devices, instead of a single blackberry messenger. RIM has millions of users but has been losing their market popularity because of the Google Android phone and the iPhone. What’s going to happen with the iphone5 and will the Blackberry Messenger have a comeback to regain some of their users. The release of the i0s5 was impressive enough and was intended to update applications.
There will probably be improved notifications on the 5 and the camera can be used directly from the lock screen. There will be some basic photo editing options and a Newsstand feature. There will be a feature that is called the iCloud which will organize all of your mail, your contacts, photos, applications and music. With the hardware redesign the glass will probably be replaced on the back of the phone with a metal to avoid any sort of calling problems (which was a problem on the iPhone4.) Integrated buttons, sensitive to the touch will display themselves on the bezel of the smart phone with a larger screen. Apple imessage Vs. Blackberry Messenger is still being contemplated; if Blackberry comes up with something fast before the iphone5 is put out into the market then they may regain some of their users back.
