The IntelliWheels Automatic Gear-shifting weighted 5 pounds or 2.2 kg is a set of two wheels that is compatible to any manual wheelchair so it is just easy to install to make your usual wheels into a modernized and easy to used one. This works because of the sensor at the bottom of the wheelchair that analysis torque, speed of the wheelchair to know how fast it should move and the tilt to know the slope and by this way the best gear for the work is being established. The wheels are design to make help the uses of wheelchair easy and less strain.
IntelliWheels Automatic Gear-shifting is expected to be out in the market on September 2012 by Daigle and two of his partners Marissa Siebel and Jean Samson to be commercialized it after a series of test to ensure of its best performance and safety features. The wheels will undergo 40 days and 40 nights test to be prepared for 4 years of use.
