Just like the 802.11 standards this new standard set by IEEE the 802.22 Wi-Fi standards is also a wireless standard to be use to connect the internet. This is also design to take advantage of the latest broadcast spectrum that will enable to subscribe and have the internet connection needed. The standard spectrum of 802.22 standards is ranging from 54MHz to 598MHz this means of enabling the broadcast at a long distance and at 22 Mbps for about 62 miles so it can be possible to cater the entire municipality with a broadband internet connection 802.22 Wi-Fi standards.
With the announcement and the approval of these 802.22 Wi-Fi standards, telecommunication companies can now build some communications equipment that can be compatible of operating these standards. This is good news about the advancement and upgrade of technology innovation.
