China’s New Harmony World’s Fastest High-Speed Train

China is already well renowned for its high-speed railway system and this time it has obliterated the previous record for the world’s fastest high-speed train with its latest bullet train. The new train that will operate between Shanghai and Hangzhou, the capital of East China’s Zhejiang province reached a speed of 415km/h during the trial run.
The lightning fast electric train called the “Harmony” - a CRH-380A will not only bring down carbon emission, but will also prove to be a convenient and comfortable means of public transport. The Shanghai-Hangzhou line is expected to begin regular services in October. The Ministry of Railways has announced that China could nearly double the amount of high-speed rail that crisscrosses the country to 8,000 miles by 2012.
